Tashkent - Canon Company has announced the creation of a new UV-print technology, which will be used in future large-format printers of the company. Technological innovation will be utilized when printing on rolls. A special feature of this technology is a special ultra-violet ink, which instantly dries up and turns into a gel upon contact with the material, which allows for greater clarity and speed when printing. This technology can contribute to the emergence of a whole generation of eco-friendly roll printers, which will increase the efficiency of the production process. Another advantage of the new technology is a reduction in the consumption of ink by 40% compared to a conventional UV printer. Pierre-Olivier Esteban, European TDS/DGS Marketing Director at Canon Europe, said that this type of roll printers is designed for small printing houses, because they are more affordable and economical than high-tech printing equipment. The device based on the new technology will be released in the spring of 2017.
